I was left with no motivation but an overwhelming feeling of hope. But that ending, oh that ending, what else can I say? After only a few hours the entire story had unfolded as the sun crept across the skyline and I realised that by 4.40pm I still hadn't had a shower, needless to say that upon finishing I found my tears welling with the water in a state. The beautifully crafted plot line kept me guessing at points and I found myself in Sabine's shoes again wondering if she truly was crazy. This was not just a book that I read but pure genius on the page which moved me from feeling unwell to experiencing everything along with Sabine. Sabine's story rocked me to my core and I spent the best part of the final quarter with tears slipping down my cheeks. Jessica, this is pure literary genius! I have not read something this good in ages and I mean ages. Not feeling well this morning I decided to take a doona day and with nothing to lose I jumped into Between the Lives.
I wasn't sure what I thought when I picked up a trial copy of the first two chapters on my kindle.
